The West Milford Physical Therapy Center treats a variety of injuries, illnesses and conditions on a frequent basis. Some of the more common conditions seen at our clinics include the following:

  • Rotator Cuff Tendonitis /Rupture /Post-operative Rotator Cuff Repair /Shoulder Impingement /Adhesive Capsulitis
  • Low Back Strain /Lumbar Disc Herniation /Radiculitis /Sciatica /Surgical Laminectomy /Discectomy /Fusion
  • Cervical Strain /Cervical Disc Herniation /Degenerative Disc Disease /Whiplash Injuries /Cervical Fusion

Following Evaluation a specific treatment program will be implemented which may include:

  • Manual therapy including joint mobilization, deep soft tissue release, passive stretching.
  • Therapeutic exercises to restore muscle flexibility, strength and endurance with home exercise program.
  • Education to improve posture, joint swelling, safety and joint protection.
  • Sports therapy techniques to promote balance, reaction time and sport specific training.
  • Specialized SFMA and FMS assessment tools to identify functional limitations.
  • Low Level Laser Therapy, Mechanical Traction, Electrical Muscle Stimulation, Ultrasound and TENS.
  • Gait training activities with assistive devices and with regard to balance and safety.
  • Heat and cold applications.
